Message from the Head of Institute
Khatarbari HS has completed its 63 years years of journey and I am very pleased that our mission has been successful by getting this institution of Secondary Education in Provincialized stage in our remote area. In the month of January in 1958, the leading personalities of that time gathered and formed a sponsoring body for establishing a School which was named Khatarbari ME School. The body of the School laboured hard for procuring requisite lands and funds by public donations of the area. As a result, around 43 bighas of land was donated by the then Mouzadar Doyaram Choudhury of Khatarbari. At present the school has an added peripheral institution named as Nagrijuli Model School, on western part. The school owns a playground for sports and recreation activities.
The need of an educational institution was visualized by local intellectuals of the then social activists such as Babul Swargiary, Moneswar Boro, and Hari Narayan Das, Baliram Boro and Nabin Sarma.
The school has Government building. It has got 15 classrooms for instructional purposes. All the classrooms are not in good condition. At least some of it needs urgent renovation. It has 2 other rooms for non-teaching activities. The school has a separate room for Headmaster and teaching staff. The school has a Boundary Wall surrounding it and land portion of school play-ground has no boundary wall.
The school boasts of having a hostel facility for girls in its compound.
Wishing all a bright future of the school and everyone those related to this School.

VISION
The school promotes dedication, responsibility, productivity, and respect and that these are our school ‘core values’. For a core value to be true, everyone in our team must feel the same way – this is what makes our students feel the same. If they don’t then they may think there are other values, ones you are currently unaware of, that are true to the school. We represent the school community and discuss what values they truly believe are present in the school today.
Through discussion and sharing we begin to agree on some common themes. These are likely to be what your values revolve around. It may take some time to turn these themes into statements but the critical thing is, everyone agrees with the sentiment. If you were to simply write up your values based on your own beliefs of what the school ‘should be’ you will find that people nod their heads but don’t really believe in them. They would be inauthentic, ineffective and ultimately, ignored.
This exercise can include a small group to multiple sessions and larger groups to get wider input. Remember, you can review and amend your values every few years to ensure they really do reflect your true culture.
